GCSP
Grand Challenge Scholars Program
When I applied for UD, I also applied for the Grand Challenges Scholars Program which is one of the Universities Scholars and Fellows Programs. GCSP focuses on solving the Grand Challenges which are a set of complex goals as outlined by the National Academy of Engineers. This program exists similar to a degree where each student will graduate from the program after completing a series of requirements involving international work, related education, and projects that align with the Grand Challenges. While relatively new, this program offers a lot of potential to expand your knowledge on worldly problems. I have grown my understanding of some of the largest issues that the world faces through this program and love being part of it. As I said when interviewed for a UDaily article on the program, GCSP encouraged me to be more involved and taught me that I have the potential to make a change.
