Tier 1 focuses on the emerging leader. During my time in tier 1 I was able to learn and grow my own leadership style through a series of workshops and put my new skills to use in advanced tier 1.
Tier 2 focuses on the engaged leader and teaches the Social Change Model of Leadership. I was able to put the knowledge to work through my project with the nonprofit, the Wilmington Green Box and learn more about working on a successful team.
As a Community Fellow in tier 3, I expanded my knowledge of nonprofits and community leadership. I had the pleasure of being paired with the nonprofit, inDEFINED, to perform a SWOT analysis and help build the nonprofit from the ground up.
Participating in tier 4 has allowed me to reflect on my experiences and see how much I have grown the past few years. I also continued my work with inDEFINED following tier 3.
Being involved with QUEST / LEAP as a participant and first year, second year, and Senior Peer Mentor has had the largest impact on my life. I have learned  a lot about myself, stepped way outside my comfort zone and grown, and met some of the most important people to me through this program.
Service is very important to me and BHLP allowed me to give back to my community through small service events like volunteering at community events. I also had the opportunity to travel to Puerto Rico and participate in disaster relief and environmental recovery efforts.
